Paul is a Managing Partner and co-founder of One Eighty Capital. Prior to One Eighty Capital, Paul was the Chief Financial Officer at Amsted Industries, a $3.0 billion diversified manufacturing company. During his 27 years at Amsted, Paul held fifteen positions of increasing responsibility in Accounting, IT, Manufacturing and Finance. Paul is a Certified Public Accountant, has a Master’s degree in Finance from Creighton University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Loyola University of Chicago. Paul enjoys traveling with his family, triathlons and fantasy football.
Chief Technology Officer
Josh is the Chief Technology Officer with One Eighty Capital. Prior to joining the firm, Josh was the Lead Senior Software Engineer with Mazzetti. Prior to that, he was Associate Director of application development at Vanderbilt University, where he focused on providing custom software solutions to support faculty, research and education. Josh has extensive experience in web application development, database design, micro-service architecture and business intelligence. In addition to his extensive experience as an engineer, he has a proven track record as an exceptional product & team manager. Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in Business Administration from MTSU. Josh enjoys boating, wake surfing and spending time with his daughters.
Director of Data Science
Kevin is the Director of Data Science with One Eighty Capital. Prior to joining the firm, Kevin was a co-founder of Atlas Trading, where he designed and implemented quantitative models, proprietary trading algorithms, and associated software infrastructure in the volatility futures and equity options markets. Kevin has extensive experience synthesizing actionable intelligence from large, diverse data sets, and in building and validating tractable models of complex systems. Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science from Dartmouth College. Kevin enjoys chess, golf, and world travel.
Director of Research & Development
George is the Director of R&D with One Eighty Capital. George has extensive experience developing and implementing scalable solutions to highly complex technological challenges and is responsible for expanding technical innovation at the firm.
Prior to joining One Eighty Capital, George served as Partner and Lead Software Engineer at three algorithmic trading firms over 13 years with responsibility for designing and optimizing trading strategies and platform infrastructure. Previously he focused on large scale scientific computing at Lockheed Martin and Los Alamos National Lab, and worked for the Department of Defense at Ft. Meade.
George holds a Ph.D and Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Notre Dame. He enjoys Peloton bike rides and teaching his son programming, math, and drawing by developing computer games together.
Director, Software Engineering
Chris is the Director of Software Engineering with One Eighty Capital. Prior to joining the firm, Chris was the Director of Software Development with Mazzetti+GBA, where he led the application development for several custom software solutions including: Medical Equipment Planning, Inventory Management, Facility Condition Assessments, Energy Tracking, Waste Tracking and many other AEC related projects. Other prior experience includes senior software development for Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Craneware. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. Chris loves college football, all things technology and family adventures with his wife, three amazing children and their golden retriever.
Sr. Software Engineer
Kiman is a Senior Software Engineer with One Eighty Capital. Prior to joining the firm, Kiman worked as a Senior Software Engineer with Consumer Depot where he was responsible for developing an in-house Inventory Management Web Portal that included tasks such as Receiving/Tracking Inventory, Bin Allocation/License Plate Management and other functionalities related to Order Fulfillment Services from different online platforms like Amazon, Walmart and eBay. Other experience includes working as a Software Engineer with Team TSI, a Healthcare Data Analytics company. Kiman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information System from University of Alabama in Huntsville. During leisure, Kiman enjoys playing soccer, playing guitar and spending time with his wife and pets.
Dan is a Junior Software Engineer with One Eighty Capital. Prior to joining the firm, Dan was a recording engineer for various major-label artists and a web developer for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Dan received an AS in Audio Technology from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and completed the Full-Stack Web Developer Bootcamp at the Nashville Software School. Dan enjoys software development, music, and spending time with his wife and young children.
